Las Galeras, situated about 25 kilometers from Santa Bárbara, capital of the province, is a pretty small village still preserved from the big tourist poles and located at the extreme Northeast of the Peninsula of Samaná. You could not go further; the road ends here on the beach, with its calm waters, and gives the feeling to be at the end of the world. The first impression is that you have reached a refuge where peace is absolute.
This fishing village attracts by its simplicity, it seems to have a special mystique, life here is different, quite and unconcerned.
Diving in the Dominican Republic - Las Galeras Divers - Swiss Dive Center
Living and working from 8 years in different places of Dominican Republic, Serge & Christine, both from Switzerland, decided to stay here and to develop their little Las Galeras Divers dive center, not only for the charm of this nice village, but also for the most beautiful ocean floors of the Peninsula of Samaná and of the Dominican Republic Northern coast.
The coral, still alive, is extraordinarily beautiful. We can find here a variety of incredible diving spots : coral gardens, coral labyrinth, caves, walls, wreck and the famous spot of Cabo Cabrón (a coral tower which is going down from 7 meters to 55 meters).
We can also meet hawksbill turtles, eagle spotted rays, giant barracudas, colored tropical fish and a lot of other representatives of the local fauna.
Diving in Las Galeras is a lot of fun !
Las Galeras Divers is the ideal place to practice the scuba diving and to improve your skills thanks to the range of the PADI SCUBA CERTIFICATION COURSES proposed, under the supervision of a professional team.
From the discovery of scuba diving (Discover Scuba Diver), to the first diving licence, the PADI Scuba Diver (for diving under the supervision of a professional), but also to the PADI Open Water (independent diver licence), all these courses are intended to the beginners.
For the more experienced divers, we can offer the Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver et Dive Master certification courses.
All the PADI courses are teached in English, French and Spanish.
Las Galeras Divers is DAN partner, international diving insurance. 
At your disposal, a team of professionals, equipment of quality: Scubapro regulators, Mares BCDs and a great enthusiasm to take you to the most beautiful ocean floors of the Atlantic Coast of the Dominican Republic.
